Favorite
band and/or songs growing up?
I went to see Derek and the
Dominoes at the Fillmore East in NYC (with my MOM)...got hooked
on the energy of a live performance and the guitar solos!
What are some of the stations/cities where you've worked before
coming to Rip 97.9?
I got my first radio gig by
calling my local radio station to try and win a contest..the guy
ending up hiring me at South 107 FM in Rome, GA...When I
returned home to the Catskills, I've been on the air for WDST-FM,
"Radio Woodstock", WPDH-FM "The Home of Rock n' Roll" in
Poughkeepsie and 107.1 The Peak, "World Class Rock for New
York's Backyard" in Westchester County.
Coolest / funniest / weirdest moment of your radio career so
far?
I was hosting a weekly radio
broadcast in Woodstock with a live band (as opposed to a dead
one) and during my broadcast, a guy driving down the interstate
heard me mention some of the guys in the band, knew one of the
members since childhood (who he hadn't seen in 20 years) got off
at the next exit, turned around and came to Woodstock to see the
show and surprise him afterward! Ahhhh, the power of RADIO !!
What's the coolest thing about the Great Northern
Catskills?
In five minutes, you can go off of the main roads and be,
seemingly, in the middle of nowhere!
Famous person (living or dead) you'd most like to
have dinner with?
Jennifer Aniston (Jen, if you
read this, John Mayer is a wussy!)
Favorite Hobby/Pastime?
I'm a single dad with a teenage daughter. Please explain
