Founded in August 1999 by Chairman Dennis Jackson, and by Guy
Patrick Garraghan, a native son of Windham, New York, WRIP grew and
flourished under Garraghan's guidance for eleven years. His untimely
passing in November 2010 left a void in the Mountaintop community.
Guy will always be fondly remembered by those who knew him - and
missed by the thousands who awoke to his voice every morning.
Under the continued leadership of Jay Fink, Vice President and
General Manager and a ten year station veteran, WRIP has tapped the
talents of another broadcaster - long recognized for his community
leadership and integrity - from our sister station, WQQQ in
northwest Connecticut. Joe Loverro joined WRIP as Morning Show host
and Operations Manager in May 2011. Together with a passionate and
dedicated staff, the future looks bright as a new chapter unfolds
for WRIP, thanks to the continued support of our many fans and
successful advertisers.
